In Redondo Beach, where you place your dump trailer determines whether a permit is needed:

• Private Property (No Permit Needed): If the dumpster fits completely on your private driveway, private parking space, or within a designated commercial loading area, no permit is required.

• Public Street Placement (Permit Required): Redondo Beach Municipal Code makes street placement without authorization unlawful it is illegal to place or allow a dumpster to remain on any public street, alley, sidewalk, or highway without a permit. If your dump trailer needs to go in the right-of-way, you must obtain a Street Use permit from the City of Redondo Beach before delivery day. Dump trailers must be labeled with the hauler's name and contact info and must not block fire hydrants or pedestrian paths. South Bay Haul coordinates the permit process for you.

Redondo Beach runs from the denser, townhome-heavy streets of South Redondo near the water to wider residential lots in North Redondo. South Redondo's narrow lanes and limited driveway depth often make on-street placement necessary and permit-required. North Redondo's larger lots can typically accommodate our 10-yard dump trailer on-site with no permit required. All deliveries use protective boards to prevent driveway damage.

California's C&D recycling requirements apply to permitted construction projects in Redondo Beach. We route clean concrete, dirt, green waste, and cardboard to certified South Bay recycling facilities. We do not accept: paint, liquid waste, motor oil, tires, batteries, asbestos, propane tanks, medical waste, solvents, pesticides, or refrigerants in any dump trailer.
