Lawndale is an incorporated city, and where you place your dump trailer determines whether a permit is needed:

• Private Property (No Permit Needed): If the dumpster fits completely on your private driveway, private parking space, or within a designated commercial loading area, no permit is required.

• Public Street Placement (Permit Required): If your dump trailer needs to sit on a public road, alleyway, or public right-of-way, you must obtain a Right-of-Way permit from the City of Lawndale Public Works Department before delivery day. Dump trailers must not block fire hydrants, crosswalks, driveways, or restrict emergency vehicle access. South Bay Haul handles permit coordination just tell us your placement plan when you book.

Lawndale's residential lots tend to run narrow, and street parking is often limited. We prefer to place our 10-yard dump trailer on-site on your driveway whenever possible, keeping your project off the street and permit-free. Our 10-yard dump trailer fits on a standard Lawndale driveway and handles a full room demo or garage cleanout with ease. We use protective boards under all dump trailer placements to prevent surface damage, and our drivers are experienced with the tight turning radiuses common in this area.

We sort and divert clean materials whenever feasible, routing green waste, clean concrete, and cardboard to appropriate South Bay facilities rather than straight to landfill. We cannot accept hazardous materials in any dump trailer, including paint, solvents, motor oil, batteries, tires, propane tanks, asbestos, medical waste, pesticides, and refrigerants. For household hazardous waste disposal, residents can use the LA County SAFE Center at 1400 N. Gaffey St., San Pedro (Saturdays and Sundays, 9am–3pm). Not sure if something's allowed?
